What does it mean to feel safe—in your body, in your voice, and alongside one another?
Join us for an evening where mothers and daughters come together to move, learn, and grow side by side.
Inside this space, we’ll intentionally cultivate connection, compassion, and curiosity—not as an add-on, but as the foundation. Because how we relate to ourselves and each other is inseparable from how we move through the world.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to walk with awareness, clarity, and choice, grounded in the “3 A’s”:
Awareness — noticing what’s happening within and around you
Assessment — trusting your instincts and reading a situation clearly
Action — responding with confidence and intention
Guided by expert instructors, you’ll learn simple, effective self-defense techniques inspired by the Seven Principles of Shinobi Self Defense—practices that emphasize timing, positioning, and using your body wisely, not forcefully.
And, because this is Hey Birdie… we’ll go deeper.
Through authentic relating, shared reflection, and intentional moments of connection, we’ll:
Strengthen the bond between mothers and daughters
Honor the wisdom and power of the female body
Practice being seen, heard, and supported in real time
Expect movement, learning, laughter, and meaningful connection—with just enough stretch to discover something new.
You’ll leave not only with practical skills to keep yourself safe, but with a deeper sense of trust—in your body, your voice, and each other.
This is about more than defense.
This is about how we move through the world—together.
