4th Annual Ms. Klaus Twerkshop + Community Booty Builder

A Holiday Tradition Reimagined — Movement, Compassion, Community

This year, we’re bringing our annual Ms. Klaus Twerkshop to a new generation. Designed just for teens and tweens, this reimagined gathering blends joyful movement with conversation, curiosity, and community stewardship.

Part twerk class, part philanthropic experience, Ms. Klaus Twerkshop invites young people to explore connection — to themselves, to each other, and to the world around them. Led by the incomparable Miss Monroe, participants will learn fun + accessible movement while honoring the cultural roots of twerking.

We’ll also spend time in conversation about what it means to be a good steward of our community: noticing what’s around us, getting curious about others’ experiences, and practicing compassion in real, tangible ways.

This year’s giving focus:
We’re supporting the “The East Pantry” — ensuring students in our own city have access to essential items. Participants are invited to bring canned goods or pantry staples as offerings of care and solidarity.

What Teens + Tweens Can Expect

A Fun, High-Energy Twerk Class
Accessible movement, holiday beats, and a whole lot of joy — taught with intention and respect.

Philanthropy in Action
A hands-on giving activity and group conversation about community, compassion, and noticing who might need support.

Connection + Conversation
A space to meet new friends, explore identity, and practice curiosity about themselves and one another.

A Seasonal Reset
An empowering, body-positive experience during a time of year that can feel overwhelming.

This workshop is a playful, meaningful entry point into connection, giving, and growing up with heart.

The Perch: Menopause - A Shared Threshold

This month, we’re gathering for Menopause: A Shared Threshold — a gentle space to name what’s changing, share what’s confusing or empowering, and simply be supported in the company of other women. Whether you’re approaching menopause, moving through it, or navigating the after, this is a circle to talk honestly, listen deeply, and remember you don’t have to figure it out alone.

The Perch: How Not to Raise an Entitled Asshole (All Genders)

We’ve heard you — the desire for more connection, for real conversations about what’s heavy, what’s beautiful, and everything in between. So we’re creating The Perch, a new (free) monthly gathering for Birds in Flight (and the women you love) to sit together, share, and be witnessed — no fixing, no pressure, no performance.

Think of it as a modern salon: one topic, honest voices, and space to both listen and be heard. Our first Perch will be held Friday, November 14 at 9:30 AM, with conversation circling around How Not to Raise an Entitled Asshole (All Genders) — the grit, grace, and wild growth of it all.

Spots are limited to 15 (with 8 reserved for Birds in Flight and their friends). Registration is required to receive the address.

✨ Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your courage, and maybe a friend who needs a soft place to land.

Harvest Migration - Evening

As autumn approaches, nature shows us how to surrender with grace. Leaves fall, the light softens, and the earth prepares to rest — not in defeat, but in deep trust. This is a season of harvesting what has grown, honoring what lies beneath, and letting go of what can no longer be carried.

Harvest Migration is a 6-week immersive journey for women who feel the pull to slow down, look inward, and honor the thresholds they’re crossing. It is an invitation to excavate gently — not for answers, but for deeper truths waiting just beneath the surface.

Where Awakening Migration is a bloom — full of possibility, desire, and fresh beginnings —
Harvest Migration is a rooting — a gathering in, a sacred turning toward what’s real and ready to be released.

This work is aligned with the rhythm of the season:
🍂 It’s a time to reflect on what you’ve grown this year — in your heart, your body, your relationships, your work.
🍂 A time to honor both the fruit and the fallow.
🍂 A time to gather wisdom from your lived experience, grieve what must be let go, and prepare the ground for new dreams to rest and gestate through winter.

Enrollment is open now. Space is limited.
Choose your time: Wednesdays, October 1 – November 5, either 12–2PM or 6–8PM. We are also offering a virtual option for each timeslot!

Come, let the season guide you home to yourself.

The Womb: A Gathering of Inspiration, Education, and Activation

What if this moment that feels like a time of isolation, overwhelm, and despair isn't a tomb, but a womb?

A space of gestation, transformation, and rebirth. A place where we gather our strength, receive wisdom, and prepare to rise.

We know that we are meant to move together. Like birds flying in V-formation, we take turns leading, we lift one another when the wind is against us, and we find our way forward—together.

This isn't a protest, it's a possibility. This isn't about tearing down, it's about building up.

BirdDay Celebration

Hey Birdie Turns 4! A Rhythmic Gathering of Celebration, Community & Cause

We're turning four years old—and in true Birdie fashion, we’re marking the moment with purpose, rhythm, and rising energy.

Join us for BirdDay, a limited-space, donation-based celebration that honors not just our birthday, but our deepening commitment to the women we serve and the world we’re building together.

This is our way of saying thank you, of kicking off the season with heart, and of gathering the flock before our next big migration: The Womb.

With only 30 spots available, this intimate gathering will feature:

  • Drumming with Rhythmetrix to stir the collective pulse

  • A dynamic speaker to ignite our spirits and spark what’s next

  • Space to move, connect, reflect, and celebrate all we’ve built—and what’s still to come

BirdDay is not just a party. It’s a warm-up, a wake-up, and a call forward into the deeper work of The Womb: A Gathering of Inspiration, Education, and Activation (August 21st at City Park Pavilion).

Your attendance is donation-based, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Cobalt Advocates—and every dollar will be matched.

Maternal Burn

Join us for the Maternal Burn, a unique Hey Birdie ceremony that delves into the profound and complex layers of the maternal essence.

Together, we will honor and redefine our relationship with the concept of "Mother," exploring the nurturing, creative, and fierce qualities that embody this archetype. Guided by Hey Birdie Founders, Jess and Heather, we will engage in a burning ritual to release burdens and make space for renewal and celebration.

Step into the depths of the maternal journey with us for an afternoon of reflection, connection, and renewal.
